Welcome to the Mike Arace Rockin’ Ropes Climbing Camp!

Our camp brings equipment and activities designed and developed by Project U.S.E to our students. Activities include games, wall climbs, rappelling and belaying techniques on indoor and outdoor ropes courses. These activities emphasize the program’s purpose of developing heightened problem solving, cooperation and communication skills, while building self-confidence.

Marc Papa is a physical education teacher specializing in adventure education utilizing an indoor ropes course. Art Settembrino is a Student Assistance Counselor and former freshman physical education teacher specializing in adventure education  where he utilizes the former Greenwald challenge course as part of his curriculum.

Camp sessions Monday – Friday will be held at the indoor climbing course in the Glenfield Middle School gym. Camp will begin at 9:00am and pick up will be at 3:00pm.

Campers will participate in a variety of games and team building activities along with 11 different climbing elements. Lunch will be from 11:30-12:30.

Drop off/Pick up: Please enter in through the circular driveway and drive into the parking garage. On the far end there will be an open gate on the left side, which will lead to the gym entrance.

If you have any questions please feel free to email Marc Papa.

We look forward to a fun and challenging camp!
