Kindergarten and First grade students used Tux Paint to put their multimedia and mouse skills to use by creating specific types of drawings in Technology class. Some projects included creating vehicles, plants/flowers, or self portraits using just the shape tools (very tough to do!), or creating abstract art with the line and fill bucket tools.

Second grade students have continued to use and program Micro:bits. The students learned how to create animations by combining icons and pauses to light up the LEDs on the Micro:bits. They even learned how to make custom icons for even more creativity with the LEDs and animations.
For those interested in exploring the Micro:bits further, the software for programming Micro:bits is free online at https://makecode.microbit.org/#. There is a simulator built into the interface so no device is needed at home.
