NJ Coalition for Bullying Awareness and Prevention

The mission of the NJ Coalition for Bullying Awareness and Prevention is to increase community awareness of bullying as a common serious problem of school-age children and to advocate for the implementation of effective bullying prevention approaches in the State of New Jersey. The website includes links to the Coalition's 10 handouts covering most aspects of school-age bullying, and links and descriptions of other excellent materials.

Stop Bullying

This well-developed website, managed by the federal Department of Health and Human Services, contains interactive materials on bullying and cyberbullying for kids, teens, parents, schools and communities. Available in Spanish as well.

New Jersey State Bar Foundation

The New Jersey State Bar Foundation promotes violence prevention by helping interested schools establish Conflict Resolution/Violence and Peer Mediation Programs. Provides detailed lessons for elementary, middle and high schools.

The NJSBF also includes a link that lists videotapes that can be borrowed for a period of 2 weeks with a $50.00 deposit for each tape. Topics include the following:

Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center: "Stop the Bully Without Becoming One"

Interactive program for students emphasizing how to stand up to bullies, value student differences and treat others with respect. Program includes strategies and role-playing exercises conducted by professional speaker Paul Reddick and Montclair State student- athletes.
